  Our 2023 event was ridden on Saturday, 4/22, with 30 members taking to the road for 315+ miles of Florida backroads touring. We welcomed 18 new Tail riders into the family and issued 12 'repeat survivor' pins during lunch in Mcclenny Florida before taking a brief trip into Georgia before heading home.   CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE and thank you for supporting this annual Chapter Event.

Bob Hamilton Sighting 041823

What a great SURPRISE....seeing Bob Hamilton up and around at Doug Markley's CELEBRATION OF LIFE today at Eden Prairie CC in The Villages! Bob's serious accident just a few weeks ago shocked the entire membership, and to see him out and about after 2 surgeries made the already joyous day even brighter. We wish Bob a speedy and complete recovery and look forward to sharing time during his healing.

Our 4/15 attempt brought 50 members to Polk City H-D on our initial try to bring TH Bacon back to Gator H-D.  A sunny, warm day provide the backdrop for a massive turn-out from the membership.  Four other chapters also attempted 'raids' but our huge group dominated the ridership, but points for the competition are scored by the formula of riders multiplied by distance (in miles) ridden. While only bringing 28 members, New Smyrna H-D had the mileage advantage - winning by a mere 68 points😢🫣...we needed 1 1/2 addition riders to secure the win.

STEAL THE BACON CHALLENGE 2023

TOMORROW IS THE CHAPTER RIDE to 'STEAL THE BACON'!  The program was outlined by Director Ken at the February & March meetings...and plans for the "seizure" are complete. This 'CHALLENGE' comes from the Officer Training seminar for 2023 when the Orlando Chapter described the HOG Character and claimed ownership until 'stolen' by another chapter by attending the Orlando monthly meeting in sufficient numbers to claim the statuette (Members multiplied by miles ridden to meeting - thus, STEALING THE BACON.)
