Great Rides

34 members attended this years event, with 13 earning PATCHES for their first ride! Beautiful sunshine and cool temps made for a great day and 11,900 riding miles earned for the Chapter on Ride 365! Four of us were making our 5th TAIL ride....stalwart riders all. THANKS to all who contributed to another funfilled ride event

The 2024 edition of this yearly event has been scheduled for SATURDAY - Feb. 03, 2024 We're doing a 'SNOWBIRD' Edition this year to enable our seasonal members the opportunity to become PATCHED members of the TAIL! Previous patch members will be awarded a "repeat survivor" pin, so there's something for eveyone! Clear your schedule for a great event on the 1st Saturday in Februrary (2024)

The 20th Annual LCUMA Toy Run will take place on Saturday, Dec. 02, 2023 The event returns to the Walmart Superstore off 441 in North Leesburg This is a police escorted ride - departing WALMART @ 11AM for a 30 mile backroads ride to GATOR H-D. $15/pp if you bring a toy (may be purchased that morning @ Walmart $25/pp IF NO TOY Come via cage or join Chapter ride (KSU @ 9 AM fro  Gator Pavilion.

The Menkes are enjoying another quick road trip..visiting the homestead of the Tupelo Mississippi River 'Flash'. Catching a few miles after halting an earlier trip due to a scoot breakdown earlier this month. Ride Safe!  

  Our 2023 event was ridden on Saturday, 4/22, with 30 members taking to the road for 315+ miles of Florida backroads touring. We welcomed 18 new Tail riders into the family and issued 12 'repeat survivor' pins during lunch in Mcclenny Florida before taking a brief trip into Georgia before heading home.   CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE and thank you for supporting this annual Chapter Event.

Our 4/15 attempt brought 50 members to Polk City H-D on our initial try to bring TH Bacon back to Gator H-D.  A sunny, warm day provide the backdrop for a massive turn-out from the membership.  Four other chapters also attempted 'raids' but our huge group dominated the ridership, but points for the competition are scored by the formula of riders multiplied by distance (in miles) ridden. While only bringing 28 members, New Smyrna H-D had the mileage advantage - winning by a mere 68 points😢🫣...we needed 1 1/2 addition riders to secure the win.

One of the many 'sponsored' challenges for Spring Bikeweek was checking in at various sponsoring dealerships and collecting unique coins from each. Director Ken, Ass't Director John, Secretary George and Shutterbug Pat competed their challenge ths past Sunday (3/5/23) Keep racking up the milage!!

200+ miles and 8+ hours of 'saddle time' with 26 members tracing a circular route through central Florida. Our tour included 3 rest stops and lunch (Red Mule and Papa Joe's in Brookville) Great weather, smooth roads, steady pace with great scenery and smiles all around.
